Laura will assess your ability and ensure a pace suitable for you to learn with confidence, from a very experienced teacher. Bowen Technique is an awesome therapy that can stop the pain you may have lived with for years. Laura incorporates this into classes so we use our body in a more holistic way.
Bowen uses a gentle rolling action over soft tissue to potentially create a signal to the brain. 21st Century science is beginning to demonstrate a non-intrusive approach with no adjustments or manipulation can aid and balance the body.
Yoga has so much to offer us as we age there is no quick fix or pill that can replace what exercise does to improve life as we age at least half of age-related changes to muscles, bones, and a joint is caused by disuse. Even with heart disease lack of exercise is now considered a major risk factor.
We provide a friendly, stress-free, peaceful environment and warmly welcome newcomers and experienced students. You are most welcome to call for advice or any information you would like before attending a class.

Laura came to England in the 1980s as a single mother with a passionate desire to change the world. She was attracted to Greenham Peace Camp where she met Swami Ambikananda. Laura began to realise a spiritual path was changing the world and yoga was a revolutionary act. Swami Ambikananada introduced her to Traditional yoga and Vedanta ancient books of knowledge on yoga. Then in 1996, Laura had a serious motorbike accident. Yoga became pivotal/central in her taking responsibility for her own recovery and future.
Laura plans yoga retreats and day retreats in the UK and worldwide which will include an African Game reserve. She is a trained Bowen therapist and appreciates the interconnectedness of the body. Laura will again be participating in the World yoga festival to share her wisdom.
